How to set the location for your event type

Use the Location section of your event type to choose where your meeting will take place. You can meet in person, by phone, over video, at a custom location, or let your invitee provide the location.

Set the location

  1. Go to Scheduling and select the event type you want to edit.
  2. Expand the Location section.
  3. Choose a location from the list:
    • Video conferencing - Connect a supported video tool: Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, or GoTo Meeting.
    • Phone call - Require the invitee’s phone number to help reduce no-shows, or provide your phone number after booking.
    • In-person - Enter the meeting address and additional notes.
    • Custom - Enter the location details and choose whether to display them on the booking page or only after booking.
    • Ask invitee - Add a location question for invitees to complete on the booking page.
  4. When you're finished, select Save changes.

Add multiple location options

For one-on-one event types, you can offer multiple location options for invitees to choose from. 

  1. Select + Add location.
  2. Choose another location type.
  3. Repeat as needed.

When you're done, select Save changes, or move to the next section of your event type.

After an invitee books

Calendly will share the location details in:

  • The confirmation page
  • The calendar event
  • Email or text notifications

Need to change a scheduled meeting’s location?

Once a meeting is booked, its settings are locked. To change the location:

  1. Update the event type's Location section.
  2. Go to the Calendar page.
  3. Find the meeting.
  4. Reschedule it for the same time and date with the new location.
